Denis Borodako, Dominanta’s CEO, spoke at the Russia Calling Investment Forum yesterday. In the session “The Present and Future of Digital Financial Assets”, he spoke about our experience of issuing a DFA linked to the value of a square in the hideOUT Housing Estate. The issue with a total amount of 1.5 bnRUB was sold in lots of 600 kRUB each (that’s how much a square meter cost at the start of the housing estate construction), which attracted private investors from all over Russia, including the Far East, Krasnodar Territory, etc. Investors from other regions were interested due to a number of factors: – low entry threshold to the capital city’s premium property market; – the remarkable characteristics of the project itself, which was honoured with the Moscow Architectural Award this summer; – escrow-like letter of credit; – ease of purchase and income generation: when the housing estate is commissioned, the DFA will be repaid automatically at the average cost per square meter at that time; – traceability of the asset value on the website of the St. Petersburg Exchange. Note that hideOUT has become the first housing estate with its own stock exchange index. The index is based on the last 20 flat purchase transactions. The index will be updated in January 2025 for the first time and will be recalculated monthly thereafter.
